# OctetKeep Acceptable Use Policy

OctetKeep must be used for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not compromise the product, its users or third-party rights.

You must not use OctetKeep or the website to facilitate unauthorized intrusion, credential theft, malware deployment, evasion of access controls, destructive activity, unlawful surveillance, infringement of intellectual-property rights, or other unlawful conduct.

Security research is permitted when conducted lawfully and without unauthorized access to systems or data. Vulnerabilities discovered in OctetKeep should be reported under the Security Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.

Elementary Inc. may suspend or terminate access to a hosted or support service when reasonably necessary to address abuse or legal requirements. A local software license remains subject to its applicable EULA and mandatory law.
